Vision Communications Awards Coloring Contest Grand Prize To Lockport Upper Elementary Student

LAROSE, LA -- Vision Communications recently announced winners for its Family First Night Coloring Contest. Mia Adams (pictured), fourth grader in Mrs. Pelotto’s class at Lockport Upper Elementary was the lucky grand prize winner of a Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch.

A Vision Art Prize Pack was also award to the following students:

  • Kendyl Hawkins – Pre-K, Galliano Elementary
  • Kate Rodrigue – Kindergartener, Larose Lower Elementary
  • Holden Gisclair – 1st grader, Larose Lower Elementary
  • Yamilet Arevalo – 2nd grader, Cut Off Elementary
  • Brena Bourgeois – 3rd grader, Cut Off Elementary
  • Kate Thibodaux – 5th grader, Cut Off Elementary
  • Joseph Demke – 6th grader, Larose-Cut Off Middle

The coloring contest was offered to all Pre-K thru 6th grade students in Lafourche Parish. More than 600 students submitted entries to Vision Communications.The purpose of Family First Night, as proclaimed by Lafourche Parish School Board, is to provide an opportunity for families to spend quality time together without having to work with their children on homework, studying for tests or completing projects. Several area businesses provide “specials” on these nights, thereby linking families, schools and community.
