EATEL Network Functioning at 99% Service Level

Estimated 25% of Customers Experiencing Flooding and/or Power Outages Affecting Service.

August 16, 2016 – Understanding how critical communication is for businesses and families during this crisis, we have field and operation technicians actively taking assessments of the area and staging deployments to restore all services once the areas and our customers are safe. At this time our Venyu Data Centers are fully operational and functioning at 100%; whereas our core voice infrastructure, data networks running through East Baton Rouge, Livingston and Ascension parishes are fully operational and functioning at 99%. Several switching stations experienced flood damage creating the 1% network outage. EATEL’s fiber to the home and fiber to the business networks are operational but we estimate approximately 25% of our customers have been affected by flooding and/or power failures at their location.
